About Us
Antonio Shoes has almost 90 years of experience in the production and design of footwear. The philosophy of our company ever since it was founded, has been the production of excellent quality footwear.
In the present day, we combine that same philosophy with modern design to create footwear suitable for every occasion and age.
Our Story
Founder of Antonio Shoes is the grandfather Antonis Chatziiordanou, who was born in 1907 in Kalolimnos and at the age of 12 left for Constantinople with his family. There he was taught the art of traditional shoemaking at the Great School of the Genus.
In 1922, at the age of 15, grandfather Antonis came to Thessaloniki as a refugee after the Asia Minor disaster, looking for a better future.
In 1932 he started his own small business. His goal was to produce shoes of exceptional quality. Grandpa Antonis seems to have started to achieve his goal, as he started to become quite well-known in Thessaloniki and thus supplied several local stores.
From 1970 and then the business passed into the hands of his son Athanasios. Antonio Shoes began to grow more and more, after Thanasis took a step further by expanding his clientele to other cities in Greece.
In 1995, since the death of Thanasis, until today the business is managed by his son Antonis, while the 4th generation has also started to take its first steps.
Antonio Shoes now supplies shoe stores all over Greece and Cyprus, while the goal is to supply stores in other countries as well.
Today, the philosophy of grandfather Antonis combined with the modern design for the production of comfortable shoes for every occasion.We use excellent quality Italian leathers & ampindelible colors, processed with contemporary and friendly environmentally friendly method. The soles of our shoes are produced in Italy and Greece, emphasizing on both the design and comfort.
