Suede Leather
Suede leather is sourced from the inner side of the hide after the layers have been separated for the manufacturing of leather goods. It is known for its soft, velvety texture, which results from buffing the inner side of the leather. It is a thin, flexible, and highly durable material with a refined texture. It stands out for its ability to "breathe" thanks to its high absorbency. Due to this characteristic, we recommend you avoid wearing light-coloured Suede shoes with clothing you know bleeds dye. In dark Suede shades (brown, black, blue), you won't easily notice anything, but in lighter shades (beige, tobacco, avio), your shoes will gradually absorb colour from the bleeding garment. A classic example is the back of a Suede shoe you frequently wear with denim trousers: you may notice a "light" blue line at the back, precisely where the shoe touches the trousers. Like any quality material, Suede requires its own care and attention to maintain its beauty.

Nubuck  Leather
Nubuck leather is similar to Suede but differs in its origin: it is made from the outer side of the hide using the same buffing process to achieve a velvety texture, just like Suede. It is an extremely soft leather. It is also more expensive, "thicker," and more durable than Suede. Despite its exceptional softness, Nubuck is sensitive to scratches, and if water falls on it, the leather temporarily darkens until it dries, at which point it fully reverts to its original state.
